| I have been tutoring for five years, and in that time have taught basic numeracy & literacy to children with special educational needs, SATs and 11+ preparation, KS3 History and English, GCSE and A Level History & English, and English for adult learners. I am a patient, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher, focusing upon making the lessons fun and engaging. In terms of my educational background, I have a first class BA degree in History, a MA in Humanitarianism & Conflict Response with distinction, and I'm currently studying for a PhD in History at Newcastle University. I love learning, and like to try and make my students feel the same!

| My name is Paige and I am currently in my 2nd year at Newcastle University studying Maths. I am offering friendly help to all students from Primary School to A Level. During my 1st year I tutored multiple GCSE students and helped them achieve grade 9's. I have studied the subject in depth and took extra maths modules at A Level, so I have a wide understanding of all levels of maths from basic primary school content, all the way up to GCSE and A Level. I am based in Jesmond and can travel using Metro and bus services, I charge a rate of £9/hr, part of which goes to covering my travel costs. I hope to hear from you soon.

As I am a Biomedical Scientist at Newcastle University in her third year, I have extensive knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I offer A-Level Biology, Chemistry and GCSE Mathematics tutoring. I also offer primary school level tutoring for Maths and Science. During sixth form I used to tutor GCSE Maths and Science to a vast number of students with a range of skills, therefore I am able to adapt myself to your specific strengths and weaknesses guiding your learning. The students I taught went on to increasing their grades by three levels by the end of the year. Furthermore, I have previously volunteered during a summer school for children 11 years and younger, so I am able to interact with children well providing a fun tutoring experiences. Alongside knowledge for the subject, communication is key so I have engaged in street fundraising a role that I have undertaken which requires a high level of communication and relies heavily on the ability to articulate thoughts clearly to a vast array of audiences.

| I have a lot of experience mentoring younger students in my school. I have helped out in a form group of year 7 students, assisting them with reading as well as helping them adjust to a new environment. I was a senior member of the student newspaper, and helped younger students with articles, interviews and good practise, as well as mentoring them to become more confident. I achieved A*s in English Literature and Philosophy A Level, and A in A Level Biology, as well as all 8s and 9s in my GCSEs. I am very patient and flexible, and will work really hard to find the best way to help students understand the work they are given. | After tutoring in London for 4 years I have moved to Newcastle to continue my studies. I tutored a large number of students from primary school age to GCSE students. I make an effort to understand a student’s needs so I can decide the best way to help them with their studies. This approach helped me to teach two pupils with severe ADHD because I worked with them to come up with systems to keep them engaged. The mother of one of these students said I did an excellent job to make sure he enjoyed our sessions and made it feel less like a chore. Another client said ‘I really did not enjoy maths GCSE before I started with Joey, after just a couple months of lessons math has become my favourite subject, and I am now working towards doing it for A level.’ I graduated with a 2:1 in computer science. I am always punctual and I am happy for my clients to message me with any questions they have during the week.
