Hi My name is Shanaaz and I am currently a special needs teacher. I am responsible for helping numerous children from the ages of 11 – 16, some of whom have special needs, mild severe learning difficulties or circumstances which must be approached differently, providing an adequate level of individual attention to a pupil’s needs. I've been working with kids since I was 15 and I love it. I started by watching my younger brother and sisters and then began babysitting for kids in our neighbourhood. I have had few clients over the last 13 years, now I'm looking for something long term and on going. Over the years, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers. But in the last 2 years I have worked with Secondary school kids with special needs including ASD, Down syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I love kids of all ages. I am also a one to one ABA tutor after school,that works with children with autism. I have worked with two children in the last 6 months. These children range from the ages of five years to nineteen years old. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside keep them entertained. If not I like to bake, paint and draw with the kids. :) In my free time, I love dancing, painting, reading and cooking.
