| As my primary family didn't allow dogs, I have been a cat owner for over 10 years and loved every minute of it. However, that didn't stop me from looking for dogs outside of my home and happily taking care of my friend's pets while they were away. It seemed natural, since I like spending time with animals and being outdoors. Also, as one of my cats sadly developed a kidney insufficiency in his older age, I have had experience with taking care of a sick animal. I’m an experienced pet owner with currently (and sadly) no pets, as my busy London lifestyle doesn’t allow it at the moment. We’ve had pets at home ever since I was 6 and got my first hamster. Since then I owned rats, a dwarf bunny (who lived for record-breaking 12 years), birds, mice, cats and a dog. My golden retriever Shelly passed away a few years ago and I miss her greatly! I absolutely adore dogs and often take care of my manager’s dog Chester when he’s away (which sadly isn’t that offen haha) That’s why I decided to start pet-sitting and dog walking for people in my area. I’m a super active person who enjoys long nature walks and hikes, running, cycling and generally being outdoors when the weather allows. However, I also love getting a coffee on the weekend and reading a good book in the park, so taking care of an elderly dog wouldn’t be a problem for me, we can always take it slow :)
