Special Needs Care in Durham

| I have recently completed my level 3 apprenticeship in teaching assistant, I completed this at a special needs school, I am currently hired by an agency working in another special needs school. I have a range of experience ranging from nursery right up to sixth form. I have also assisted my friend in caring for her grandfather before he passed away due to dementia. | I have a mobile massage business and I just love it, however I am also a fully qualified care assistant and I really miss caring for people. I would like to set my own business up looking after disabled children, autistic children, mental health patients, elderly people. I love animals too and would be comfortable looking after your pets too. In the past, I have cared for two under 18 year old girls, at school and at home. Both of them had epilepsy and were peg fed and in wheelchairs. I absolutely loved this and would like to do something similar again. Special needs caregiver.

| I have been working in a nursery for the last 15 years and have been a key worker for many children with additional needs. I have referred and liaised with agencies and professionals . I have practical experience with conditions such as ASD, ADHD , Globel development delay, speech and language delay, terminally ill children, early childhood trauma , visually impaired children to name but a few. I have been the senco at the nursery for about 5 years. I always manage to build a solid bond with the children in my care and their parents. I understand the challenges and struggles and always believe that parents are the experts who just need support and understanding . I am a warm and open person who doesn't judge or make assumptions . I can be flexible and very adabtable .
