Fun, friendly and enthusiastic.
| I am very maternal and have worked in Clark’s kids in the past, dealing with many children over my time working there. I am offering to look after and entertain children while parents take a night off or having trouble finding childcare.

I'm a kind, caring & patient. I enjoy the fun & challenges that it can bring seeing a child develop.
| I've worked as a nanny for over 25 years, working for various families from temporary positions to a position lasting 12 years. I've done sole charge, mothers help, and housekeeping roles. I'm currently looking after twins of 3 years and their 2 year old sibling, whom I've been caring for since January 2019, but the position sadly comes to an end in September due to twins gaining their free child places at nursery. I've a clean driving licence and am a non-smoker. I've an upto date DBS, I completed my First Aid in January 2020 and am currently Ofsted registered. I'm more than happy and confident to care for children of varying ages in a sole care position, but equally happy to work alongside parents whom work from home or who are wanting more of a mothers help role. I've twin daughter who are almost 13 years old myself, so I am looking for work between Monday- Friday as weekends are very much our family time. Their grandmother who lives locally to us helps out during the week with my own childcare needs.

What interview questions should I ask a childcare provider?

You want to find a childcare provider that will get along with your kids, but also follows many of the same parenting ideas you have. Structure your questions around how your kids behave in certain situations and what the provider thinks is the best action to take. And because there are plenty of activities to do in Dudley, you should ask questions about the fun things each childcare provider would do to keep your kids happy and entertained. Finally, ask each provider about their past childcare experience, references from other families in Dudley and if they are certified in first aid.
