My son is four years old, he's autistic and completely non-verbal currently. He has a happy disposition, and loves stories, music and the trampoline. We currently use picture cards, some makaton, to communicate some simple requests. He has started to follow some simple instruction this year. He seems to be under-stimulated to many sensations, displaying sensory seeking behaviours, such as spinning things and chewing clothes. He starts school in September, but I'm a single parent, and need help over the summer holidays. I need someone to play with, read to, and look after him for two mornings a week, in the home, during term-time. Experience with pre-school autism education, picture exchange and sensory processing problems are an advantage. My son enjoys walking, going to cafes, and the park. Therefore, trips out of the house will certainly be part of the care. I'm looking at somebody to take him for six hours a day (probably 10 till 4) and maybe lunch out of the house sometimes. For the weeks from the 24th July to 11th September, excluding a week of holiday.

Individuals interests are music, anything creative like sewing, painting etc; travelling, shopping and after spending some years, working in care prior to this, is hoping to be studying humanities and social science in College starting in September so it would be helpful if you had knowledge of that or done any social work/care courses but training and fuel will supplemented also. BSL fluent is also essential as individual has intermittent speech impairment after recent surgery but is keen to go out and start socializing again. Hello, we are a family from Golcar who is currently looking for childcare provider to look after and care for my 3 yr old daughter who has been diagnosed with Epilepsy (currently managed with medication), GDD, and is Peg fed throught a mini button located on the stomach (nil by mouth). She is non verbal but is very expressive verbally. She is non mobile and has a hoist in her room. However a small amount of lifting will be required to lift her to and from the front door to her chair when she needs to go out. There will be a combination of blocked bookings as well as short notice requests so flexibility is a must. School holiday care is a priority. And overnight care might be an option on occasion. She has a twin so interaction with her will be expected, where the primary client is feeding or sleeping however priority will be with her sister when awake. Light housework during these downtime is also expected. Previous experience dealing with special needs children preferably with qualifications. The nanny will come to my home every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 am and the from 3.15 to 5.15 ##.### will help my son to have his breakfast and to get ready for school. The school bus comes at 9 to pick him up. And then the nanny will leave the house and come back at 3.15 when the bus will drop my son from school. And she will stay with him till I come back.
