We are looking for a babysitter who would like to help us with 2 children. Our youngest, Z, has type 1 diabetes. We only need a babysitter for a couple of hours so me and my wife can play squash together.

My lovely girls are really self sufficient, and well behaved, but not of the age where I can leave them at home overnight yet. You will need to be easy going, friendly, and able to relate to teenage girls, so that this would be a fun experience for them. You would also have a car. There may be instances in which you would need to pick the girls up from school or matches in Brighton. The job would suit anyone who could spare overnight evenings. You would have your own bedroom with ensuite. You would need to be available from 5.15pm in Hurstpierpoint. To cook supper, clear away with the girls' help, make sure they have done their homework, showered etc. and got to bed on time (9.30 latest). You would then get a full nights' sleep and wake at 7am to get them breakfast and out of the house by 7.30 - when you'd drop them at the top of the road for the school bus and then be finished for the day, but could always go back to the house and have breakfast, use it as a base before heading to work. We also have a dog, who will need to be fed and cuddled a bit too, potentially walked depending on your schedule! Generally it would be just one night that we are away, but occasionally we may need several nights in a row. Pay would involve an hourly rate of £15 whilst girls are awake, then £40 overnight, plus hourly rate next morning. It would work out at c. £100 to £120 per visit. We are very flexible to discuss how this could work (e.g., if extra time/petrol driving/dog care etc.). We'd love to meet you! Give me a call to discuss.
