My son attends a mainstream private school in Notting Hill and needs an LSA now for nursery and then for school from September 2015. He was born profoundly deaf, but has bi-lateral cochlear implants which have been a huge success. His hearing, speech and language is pretty good, but he needs assistance in terms of expanding his language, social play, understanding what is being said in noisy environments and improving his pronunciation and general speech, vocabulary etc.
You must be someone fun and enthusiastic who can engage him. A willingness to contribute fully to the extra-curricular activities and life of the school is vital. Hours 8am until 1pm weekdays and then 8am until 3.30pm/ 4pm from September. More info available upon request.
