Oxford Housekeeping and Cleaning Jobs

We are a family of four in north Summertown, Oxford, with two young children and no pets. We would like a permanent part-time housekeeper to help us with household tasks, and generally lessen the burden of family life. The house currently consists of a living room, two bedrooms, one bathroom and a small galley kitchen. Duties include: • Dishwasher & hand washing-up • Laundry & occasional ironing • Kids’ food prep • General cleaning (kitchen, bathroom, internal windows, mould spray, etc) • Keeping on top of periodic tasks (e.g. bedding, spraying driveway weeds) • One-off/ad-hoc household tasks (running errands, polishing shoes, etc, as the need arises) We are looking for a details-oriented non-smoker. Professional domestic cleaning experience preferred, but not essential for an otherwise strong candidate. Induction will be provided along with written instructions for routine tasks, and so English fluency in reading & writing is important, as well as speaking fluency. An adaptable mindset will be key to learning the specifics of our house and performing the job to the required standard. Ideally you would work 9:30-12:30, Monday to Friday (15hrs/week) but, if that doesn’t fit around your other commitments, we can discuss an alternative schedule between the hours of 9:00 and 17:00, with a minimum of 2hrs each weekday. The rate is £17-22/hr, based on your experience & proficiency, paid weekly by bank transfer. We would like this to be a permanent arrangement but would ask that you intend to hold the role for at least 6 months.
