Cat lover living in EH17, looking to help out local cat owners
| Hello! My name is Emma, I’m 26 years old and have recently moved through to Edinburgh from Livingston. I made the difficult decision to leave my beloved 10 year old Sasha cat with my parents when I moved, as I didn’t think it was fair to uproot her from her house and garden life. I miss her terribly however a new build site is not the place for a cat, let alone one who is pretty set in her ways! I have experience in cat care which spans most of my life, with previous cats before Sasha. I’m also experienced in claw cutting and administering medicine as she has been on Thyroid medication for some time now (the secret is Dreamies!!) I’m not currently in the position to adopt a cat of my own due to the fact I live on a building site and will do for some time, but I’ve got a lot of love for cats and am currently working from home for the foreseeable future due to the pandemic, so would be happy to help local cat owners out where I can. I’m an honest, reliable person who works in marketing full time and I can’t really say much more other than to emphasise how much care and love I will devote to any cat I’m asked to feed or look in on!

What questions should I ask a cat sitter in an interview?

The best cat sitters in Lasswade have a combination of experience and passion for cat care. Ask questions about the types of pets they have personally owned and how often they are currently cat sitting. Because cats behave differently than dogs, make sure to ask questions that are specific to cat behaviours and tendencies. It's also a good idea to give specific scenarios to the cat sitter you're speaking to so you can have a good idea of how they will treat your cat when they are in your home. Be sure to ask for references from other cat parents in Lasswade that have worked with the sitter of your preference.
