| Hello, My name is Diana, I live in Thornton-Cleveleys, as I don't have transport I am looking for work in the areas of FY5, FY2 I am a very compassionate, kind caring person, with 10 years + of experience in care. I am looking for work in the private sector, as caring and looking after an individual service user in private care, I find to be very rewarding as you work up a rapport with the person you are caring for. I have worked for three families caring for their elderly parents, which all had dementia. Ideally I'm looking part time hours. I have work in several care homes and looked after elderly people with different disabilities and assisted with end of life care. And I have had a lot of experience working with people with dementia, I have also worked in Domiciliary Care, And I worked for two years at a Day Center for the Alzheimer's Society. I know the most important attribute in care is to maintain one's independence a much as possible and respecting their dignity. I am a fun and friendly character with 6 years experience in care homes. I thoroughly enjoy my job and always have done since my first day! I took a year out of university whilst studying art & textiles and I have never gone back! I have lots of determination and have took the time to advance my skills with various courses to understand and have knowledge about my area of work. Each individual I work with, gets exactly the same respect and dignity. I find it important to have a close relationship and be their shoulder to cry on or just someone to listen from time to time. I wouldn't change my job for the world because I could never find another one so rewarding and enjoyable at the same time, I still do my art & textiles in my personal spare time, As well as taking the time to help arrange with the activities coordinator and with the residents to get creative with crafts an every month. I involve them in a knitting-natter to make patchwork blankets for charities.
