Elderly Care in St Leonards-on-Sea

| With regards to elderly care I started working with elderly folk as a physio assistant whilst they were in hospital. This entailed helping with exercise plans after falls or illnesses to help them back on their feet! Other work with the elderly was as a home help in their own homes. I have cared for elderly couples, males and females, mainly shopping, cooking light meals, light housework, washing and ironing, help with paperwork and computer usage and most of all being a good companion, which I think is very important, as I could be the only person they see or hear from! I have a caring nature, I'm patient and have lots of empathy! I am a good listener and like to help as much as I can. I have worked for 2 branches of Age UK and I have a current DBS certificate! I enjoy the company of the elderly and I love to be the person whose there if they have any worries or concerns! I feel I also have a good experience of working with elderly folk who suffer from dementia and alzcheimer's disease.

| Hi, my name is Rhianna (Rhi) im 22 and i have been a carer since Jan 2013. I have worked days and nights in nursing homes and currently work 3 hrs per evening at a residential dementia home. I enjoy a lot of flexibility and independence in my work, I like working one-on-one with someone and developing a relationship with the people i care for.
