| I’ve been a HCA since 09/19, and have realised that i’d be better off as someone’s personal carer as opposed to a home. The care home i’m currently at is for predominantly the elderly with dementia and other mental health issues, along with physical conditions too. Both of my great grandparents had dementia, and because it’s a condition that’s so close to home i wanted to start my career in healthcare with those with dementia as i have a good understanding of it, while also being able to understand how the relatives feel.
