| Hello, A bit about me I'm Jalpa - a fully insured and qualified self employed carer. I provide person-centred care for elderly in the Leicester area. Important to me is to work alongside a client's family to ensure the best possible care is provided - with a view to improve quality of life as much as possible. I'd like to think that this is reflected in my strong references and reviews. My current/past clients include: 1. A 90 old gentleman who had late stage dementia and is gold standard palliative care. I provided overnight support, incontinence support, companionship, outdoor activities and other needs as and when it occured. 2. A 78 yrs old lady with parkinson's disease. I support getting her ready for bed and give respite to her husband. 3. A 84 yrs old gentleman who is blind and has early signs of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. I support him with personal care, meal preparation and administration of medicines. 4. A 55 yrs old lady suffering Fibro myalgia. | I have looked after the service user in their own homes providing personal care, which included getting them up, showering them, assisting with dressing and making breakfast. I also did evening calls assisting them to get ready for bed. I did companionship for care users when their family needed time away and we used to play games, watch TV, prepare light meals, washing, cleaning and any other duties that was required in the care plan. I really enjoyed working as a carer as it gave me so much satisfaction that I can care for someone and give them my full caring service. I enjoy talking to them and making them relaxed and comfortable at all times, it is such a rewarding job and gives me so much passion looking after them as I am such a caring person. I feel that one day we will get old and someone will be looking after us in the same way as we look after them.

I have a university B.Sc degree in Mass Communication and I have also acquired several certifications in the care giving sector that helps me improve the quality of care I provide everyday as I keep working to acquire more and more knowledge.
