| I am a self employed carer with 36 years experience, from working has a carer for social services, to doing live in care I can also do assessments to see what the clients require in the way of help in there home. I’m self employed with my own accountant I have excellent experience and excellent references with telephone numbers I have a current DBS on the update service I have spent the last 12 years has a live in carer for Dementia clients also MS, Parkinson’s Cancer end of life and other conditions and other disabilities. I also have hoist training returner training, medication, cooking, cleaning also car driver with own car for shopping or appointments plus have business insurance on my car plus liability insurance. | I have cared for an elderly gentleman for 5 years, i am competent with a hoist, catheters and medications . I have worked 3 years of placements on hospital wards which included a placement on a dementia ward. I have basic first aid skills. manual handling certificates. + many other care related certificates and a degree in health and social care I have patience and I'm not afraid to get stuck into a job or get my hands dirty.

| Hi, I've recently been caring for a gentleman with dementia who sadly passed away. We went out on social trips as he liked to walk and loved the sea. I cooked for him and did housework and helped him with washing and shaving etc. He had daily medication and specific care routines that the team followed. As his became more ill and bed bound the team worked closely with District nurses, his doctor and occupational health. We cared for him at home until his death and I dealt with contacting the funeral home and notifying of his death. I became lead carer on the team and dealt with all the admin, rotas, liaising with the doctors surgery etc. While I this has been the most recent experience, I have worked in care homes in the past, and helped look after my father who had dementia before he passed. I have life experience and have held management positions in my career. I'm reliable, caring, unflappable and have a great sense of humour. My gentleman who passed and I had a great rapport, we enjoyed many a laugh and good chat, which is important. Everyone deserves to be listened to. References available on request. Kind regards, Kay

| I am a health care assistant who is dedicated to my job with looking after and assisting individuals who require my help. | I have been in the care industry from when i left school to now coming up five years this August, i have done most areas in the nursing industery from... shopping,genral help, bed bound, pallitive care right to end of live, and many more areas, also have done day sits and night sits for clients that are in need of that.. I love caring and helping the edarly out that has been in there own homes. I have also work in a home working with dementia and domestic that was very interesting. I have used a range of equipment also from hoist with the different slings to transport people from chair to commode or into wheelchair or chair and bed, done different slide sheets and many more.

I have my own personal experience of the care and domestic needs of the elderly in that my Father had multiple issues for up to 10 years before he passed away, one of which was Parkinsons. My Mother was diagnosed a few years ago with vascular dementia which can be challenging but her quality of life in the here and now is the most important thing for us/her family. I understand the importance of confidentiality and as I am in placement as a student counsellor, I have a current enhanced DBS.
