I am a Peruvian psychologist with experience working with children and adolescents in several settings: therapeutic, research projects, school related. Most of my experience is centred in mental health. I have always been curious about how the human mind works and why is it that we are all so different from each other but so alike at the same time. I specially like working 1:1 getting to know the child´s inner world. This also implies working together with the family to untangle whatever it might be that prevents the child from enjoying life to the fullest. Besides, I have had the opportunity to work with children in the Autism Spectrum as a volunteer in an education centred non-profit organization. I got assigned to the first grade classroom in which there were two children that had an autism spectrum disorder. Therefore, we needed to come up with different strategies to make the material accessible and engage them. Although challenging, it was one of the most fulfilling experiences I have had so far.
