I have a foundation diploma in animal care, a national diploma in animal management, and completed the first year of a foundation degree in animal sciences. This consisted of basic and specialist care of all animals from insects to large animals like horses and cattle. I studied procedures such as veterinary practice and care, varied medical knowledge, handling of all animals and their husbandry requirements, feed and specialist feeding for varied animals, behaviour and training, customer care skills, also skilled business studies, pet shop care, grooming, biology and chemistry, breeding, health and safety act and COSSH procedures and all relevant laws and legislation. I have a huge knowledge of all sectors for animals. I also completed an NOCN dog training course which legally allows me to train dogs. Also key skills English level 2. I have worked in several animal establishments varying from a pet shop, kennels, to college unit and a zoo. I also have always had various animals myself. Just love all animals and find it not only a pleasure to work with and be around them but fascinating too. I also did NVQ land based studies where I learnt to build animal enclosures.
