I am an assistant psychologist working. My job is predominately indirect work, and something I miss is being with people and helping people directly. I worked for 2 years as a support worker with Mencap, were I supported elderly individuals who also have learning disabilities and other comorbidities. During this, I supported individuals with there personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, supporting them out and about etc. I also have worked as a nursing assistant with teens, supporting them with there mental health needs. I know how lonely it can be as an elderly person due to my fiancés grandmother struggling at present, and would love to be able to offer my companionship to support someone.
