I have always been interested and willing to look after young children when opportunities arise within my family and friends. I have done a lot of work with children with additional needs, but I have also done childcare placements at college and frequent babysitting and childminding. I attended a placement through college at a nursery where I quickly realised my interest in working with children was with younger ages. I worked for disability challengers as a play and youth worker with children and young adults. I am now a teaching assistant for children with complex learning difficulties but I am also a mum, currently my job involves a lot of travelling a I do not spend enough time with my son so I am hoping to find job closer to home. I do have a full driver's license and a DBS certificate. I feel my willingness to care and learn in further training is a benefit. I know makaton and have many certificates from training at my current job.
