My name is Laura, I am a happy, easygoing reliable 25 year old. Since leaving school after my A Levels I have worked in a variety of different settings with children, starting from nursery age children, to primary school settings both public and special educational needs. Alongside completing my degree in Sociology and Social Policy. After completion of my degree I worked for 2 years in a school for moderate special educational needs, where I worked on a one to one basis with two boys aged 7 with high functioning autism. I have just recently returned from working as an au pair in Washington DC. I lived in DC for close to 2 years, with a family who had three children aged 14, 10 and 7, the youngest with special educational needs. This was the best two years of my life and I have found this one of the most rewarding experiences, broadening my horizons and building on my skills. Exploring a range of different age groups and experience with special educational needs, has allowed me to forsee a obvious career path. I feel that working with children is where my qualities lie best. My patient, calm, honest and outgoing nature allows me to provide childcare to the very best of my ability.
