My name is Karen and I have been working with children for over ten years. My professional experience is with children from the ages of 3 months to 14 years, but I am also a parent to two boys aged 21 and 14 years old. I have had training that involves Paediatric First Aid, behaviour management, autism awareness, grief and loss. I have worked alongside children with autism, global development delay, cerebral palsy, speech and language delay and children with hearing needs. I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a reception class. I am Ofsted Registered and have also worked as a nanny collecting children from school and caring for them in their own homes. These duties included helping with homework, reading, cooking meals and some light housework. Currently I don't drive but will be starting driving lessons soon.
