Nursery Assistant Role: • Knowledge of nursery values, health and safety regulations, whistle blowing policy. • Teaching socializing, academic, self awareness, learning skills through play and interaction. • Using own initiative to set up and create stimulating activities that help children reach goals. • Nappy changing/ Potty Training • Serving Breakfast, Lunch and Tea • High standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for diverse 0-4 year olds. • Supporting staff as well as children with a flexible, team player approach (e.g. domestic jobs within the nursery) • Applying a full understanding of EYFS knowledge in activities, play, environment and approach towards the children. • Enforcing and following OFSTED approved policies and expectations as well as nursery policies. • 1:1 with children who were recognized as SEN and adapting to their needs. Childcare: - Supervising five children between 5 and 14 years. - Providing and preparing activities to include and stimulate all children. - Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner - Domestic duties- tidying, cleaning, hoovering, feeding animals
