92yr old- requires day care on a friday weekly 8am-7pm (end time can be flexible), this is for some respite for relative carer. He requires minimal asssistance, he had a previous stroke, however is able to walk with a frame independently. He however can no longer read/write and does not like watching the tv. He sleeps a lot during the day but requires meal prep and to be given his tablet medicines, which we would have prepared. As he sleeps a lot, assistance with light housework would be helpful, ironing/hoovering/his room and bathroom cleaning.

My mum is 92 with dementia, and has been living in Scotland all her life. About to move down to live with me outside Orpington as a permanent move. We have installed special shower and loo etc. for her so care should be easier. I am looking for someone with experience of elderly care and ideally of dementia, to assist with getting her day started, her showered and settled to breakfast. Mum is used to a set time for this and so the best time to help me would be between 9.30 and 11.30 whichever days you can. Perhaps other slots may become needed between 4 and 5, and around her bedtime 7.30 to 8.30 pm but those are usually ok for now. I would be here at all times but would welcome an extra pair of hands and expertise for shower for example. Sense of humor and love of pets please. Would suit mum returning to work perhaps, or someone just looking for a part time role?
