More About this Elderly Care Job We need help with care for our mother who lives in Stonehouse. We are looking for a sensible, reliable and experienced carer to help us out. Duties include helping with meal preparation and mealtimes, shopping, transportation and supporting social activities. We are seeking an experienced carer to provide support for 2-3 hours each morning Mon to Fri for our mother a 78 year old lady living in her own home in Stonehouse, following the death of her husband last year. The type of help she needs includes: • Ensuring that she is up, dressed and has breakfast. • Reminding or assisting with medicines and collecting or return medication from the pharmacy • Assistance with meal preparation and shopping and ensuring meals are taken regularly. • Support with attending medical appointments • Support with social activities such as visiting friends and family • Building our mother’s confidence in driving and doing activities on her own. The ideal candidate will be friendly, caring, patient, experienced in working with the elderly and a driver. We are seeking someone who can be a friend to our mother as well as a carer.
