My family and I are looking for a second carer to help us with our 77 year old mother, Sue. 5 days a week live in care, with 2 days covered by the current part-time carer. Days are entirely negotiable. £700 p/w (negotiable) + food and expenses + car Sue has Dementia and COPD. She is in the moderate phase of the condition. Sue is glamorous, kind, calm and funny. She loves animals, the cinema and shopping and is a pleasure to be around. Sue was a former model, and it shows! Sue and her current carer have a wonderful rapport. The carer employed for 2-3 days a week (9-5pm). The current care will support the new care (cover days off, sickness and holiday) Sue loves the company of someone fun loving. Sue enjoys getting her hair done, dressing nicely and keeping on top of her appearance and takes pride in her home, so it is essential that this is maintained. Sue sleeps throughout the night. There is no challenging behaviour- no wandering, or leaving the house. Sue needs care for both morning and bed time routines. Her needs in the day are minimal other than companionship, meal preparation and possible activities. Sue requires help getting dressed and undressed, as well as supervision/ prompts for washing. We hope for at least 1 year commitment with the potential to adapt as mums needs change. The accommodation is set within a three bedroom house, with a lovely large garden. There are two small, friendly dogs and a ###.### bedroom has a private bathroom. 5 days a week 2 days off per week 4 week holiday Driving necessary.
