We are looking for an Au Pair to start in the New Year of 2016. The ideal candidate should have good experience in childcare or working with young children, be friendly, a non-smoker, comfortable with a pet cat and be able to demonstrate initiative. We need someone to stay minimum of 12 months. A full clean driving licence is essential, even though our daughter's school is within walking distance, we need someone to be able to take our daughter to a swimming class once a week and for possible short outings to local parks and shops. We will cover the insurance and the cost of any petrol you use on our behalf. We ask for a small contribution of between £5-£15 per week towards maintenance depending on the level of personal usage. You will also be responsible for any fuel used for your own personal trips. We live in a village in Bedfordshire with good road links to London, Cambridge, Milton Keynes as well the rest of the country. We are within 45min drive of 2 airports providing daily flights to most European countries. A train station is within 8min drive with direct trains to London and connections to Scotland, Peterborough, Newcastle and Cambridge. We would need our Au Pair to work the following hours: 07:00 until School starts at 09:00 Mon-Fri 15:20-18:30 Tues, Thurs and Fri 15:20- 23:00 Mon and Weds We would also need our Au Pair to prepare a simple nutritious evening meal for our daughter after school and help with light daily household duties. We are looking to provide a weekly allowance of £100 per week as well as food and accommodation. You will have your own large room with an en suite shower room, access to unlimited high speed fibre optic broadband, be provided with a mobile phone for work use, opportunity to earn extra money during school holidays and 20 days per 12 months of paid holiday leave. I am looking for someone to be at home when the boys get home from school 3 or 4 days a week from 4pm to 6.30/7pm. To cook them dinner and just supervise them in the home. A little bit of housework would be great but not essential. There might be a need to pick up from Henlow Academy once a week for an after school club as well. Many thanks Julie.

We would require working hours of approximately ####-#### hours on each of the above days, and ####-#### hours on Wednesdays, to incorporate the school run, tea time, bath time, and early bed time routine. We would also appreciate help with odd jobs around the house such as tidying/ironing. All of the above are, of course, negotiable in terms of tailoring our needs with the right individual.
