We are looking for a childminder/nanny/home help to collect our well behaved twins (who are currently 4 yo) from primary school where they will start in September 2024. (I know it is well in advance but I am aware these things often need prior planning). My husband and I are both full time consultants at Southampton general hospital and so occasionally we will need a some flexibility, but for the most part we know about this in advance and can plan it with you. We would love it if you were able to do some Mondays (with prior agreement) and some bits of the school holiday in a more full day capacity (also with prior agreement and planning). Our boys currently attend nursery 3 days a week and I have them on one day and my husband on the other. We also have an 18month old Labrador (who is well behaved). We are looking for someone who can come early afternoon to the house, do a couple of chores related to the boys (e.g put a wash on/ironing of boys clothes/empty dishwasher) walk dog, collect the boys from school (3.30pm) (could also be the dog walk as it is waking distance) , bring them home, feed them and start 'homework', and start getting them ready for bed. We are usually home by 6.30. I may ask you to put on a wash/take the washing out/empty dishwasher, iron clothes (for the boys only), walk the dog, tidy playroom/boys room/kitchen. I would never ask you to do something that I wouldn't do myself. I would like someone who mucks in with the running of the house when they are there, but we have a cleaner once a week.

Hello, we are looking for a nanny for next year after my wife (Holly)'s maternity leave will finish! We live in quiet road near to Peter Symonds college, with a small garden and large communal green, and have allocated parking available, with our hilarious Bengal cat (Pablo) who is very friendly and vocal. We are both doctors and will likely be working in Portsmouth hospital for the year, which means early starts (about 0700) and very occasionally if stuck in an emergency we may call and ask for you to stick around until one of us can leave. Holly will have a fixed day off per week, whereas both of our rotas are quite variable (random sets of nights or off days), therefore we are looking for someone reasonably flexible with timings and days to work, and we will be flexible with how you'd like to be reimbursed for extra/short notice changes. We're looking for someone who is registered with Ofsted, but can help get your registration if needed. We can teach you CPR/BLS or further medical skills, if needed / interested. Both my parents are accountants so I have someone official to offload PAYE and all of the boring stuff to :) Hours will likely average out to 35 per week (as mentioned before this may vary week to week), but may be more as we decide our own working hours over the next few months.
