Hello. My partner and I look after my Mum in her own home. She has severe dementia and I need someone to take over the hours of one of my team who has to leave. The hours I am initially looking to cover are Monday 8 AM to 9 AM and 5 PM to 6 PM, Tuesday 8 AM to 9 and 5 to 6 PM, Wednesday 8 am to 9 am, Thursday 8 am to 9 am, Friday 8 to 9 am and 5 pm to 6 pm Saturday 8 to 9 am and Sunday 8 to 9 AM and 5 to 6 PM. There may be scope for more hours later and certainly cover hours for holidays and sickness. There also May be scope to change some of these hours as I have a small team of carers who may be able to be flexible. The duties for this job are to get my Mum washed and dressed for the morning and then get ready for bed in the evening. She is doubly incontinent and whilst most of the time she is a sweetheart she does have her moments of aggression so you need to be quick on your feet to miss a left hook!! As Mum needs to be hoisted you would be working with another carer. The rate of pay is £9/hour and you would have an entitlement of 5. Weeks paid holiday per year.
