I'm looking for a carer to help me look after my 46 year old Polish wife who is severely disabled with stage 5 Parkinson's. She is unable to move or speak and her dietary and medicinal requirements are delivered via a PEG system. Her mental capacity is fine and she is able to communicate her needs via hand squeezing in response to questions. The successful applicant will be compassionate and caring and should have experience using hoists, BIPAP and the PEG system and be prepared to look after all aspects of her daily care which will include toileting, washing, dressing, skin care, social interaction and keeping precise records of medical observations and medications given. I am willing to give some on the job training if required. If you are able to speak Polish it would be a great advantage, but I am happy to forgo this for the right applicant. The hours are 9 to 5 on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Saturday and the rate of pay is £9.00 per hour before tax. A current DBS check is required as are any references you can supply.
