| I am currently going into my third year at University, studying Primary Education. This summer I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work at a special needs camp in America called Summit Camp. I was a counsellor here for children with ADHD, ASD, Autism as well as children with developmental disabilities. It was an amazing experience and I got to know the children’s needs very well. I formed very good bonds with all of the children that I worked with and have developed a passion for working with children with special needs.

| I fostered children with emotional and behaviour problems, I also have experience of autism. I was a career for the elderly and disabled and people with dementia also adults with learning disabilities.

| I have worked with children for over 20yrs in special school, I have a vast of experiences with a variety of general care to personnel care. At the moment, I am looking after my foster sister who has Edward syndrome. I work part time in a primary school with a child who has autism, with 1 to 1 work encouraging him to join in activities. I have learned Makaton for over 15yrs. I love working with children with special needs as I find it very rewarding even if its just a smile or even bigger. I am a foster carer also
